Daylight savings and October showers
Well, October is the equivalent of April I guess, and the showers started bang on schedule yesterday. And boy - when they say 'sub tropical climate' they're not just refering to the temperature. Those showers can sure come down heavy. There was a huge clap of thunder and lightening right above our apartment last night too. I swear it made the crockery rattle!
Still, we can't complain as we've been doing really well with weather. Plus, today is a mixture - very warm and bright interspersed with very heavy 10 minute downpours, and they say it'll be back to 'sun, sun, sun' in a day or two.
School holidays are here so we have both had lots to keep us occupied indoors anyway, what with all the apartments to clean. Just another week and then it should start to quieten down a bit again.
The clocks changed the other night so we're now 12 hours ahead of the UK - for a few weeks atleast and then the clocks go back there. Still - our first lighter evening in a year was very welcome yesterday and we're looking forward to the rest.
