Getting wet

bed count: 81

So, we've not really done much since Larry and Lesley left. We went down to Glenorchy to camp for a few nights and just chilled out amidst the towering mountains. It's very peaceful down there, and very beautiful.

We have the possibility of going back to Glenorchy to work, but first we have decided to try and see the parts of the south island we haven't yet seen. Tomorrow we head off north east and we'll end up doing almost a big loop before heading to Stewart Island. Then we need to decided exactly where we want to work.

Anyhow. Been back in Queenstown the last two nights. Managed another trip to the British Shop, but there were no hula hoops. :(

Also went on the Shotover Jet this afternoon and got a little wet... For those of you who don't know, the Shotover Jet is a very fast boat which speeds through the shallow waters of the Shotover River at break-neck speed, twisting and turning (and getting people very wet) as it goes.

We were in the middle, so didn't get as wet as some of the others, though my stomach did flip a few times. Mind you, the people on the beach had a near miss with a huge wave of spray as we went by too..

Thanks again to David, Petreena, Fiona, Steve, Christopher and Michael for the early birthday pressies.
